Game

Daily Myth

Five health claims every day — the same for everyone. True, myth or it’s complicated? Each answer comes with an explanation and a source.

Daily Myth

Shuffling today’s cards…

A right answer is +1. “I know for sure” doubles the stake: right is +2, a miss is −2.

How the game works

  1. 01

    Five cards a day

The set is the same for everyone and depends only on the date on your device. Cards go round in cycles: no repeats until the whole bank has been shown. A set has at most one “it’s complicated” card.

  2. 02

Points and “I know for sure”

Right is +1, a miss is 0. With “I know for sure”: right is +2, a miss is −2. It pays off when your chance of being right is above two thirds — so the game trains a feel for the limits of your knowledge. The day’s total is 0 to 10.

  3. 03

    Fact first

The explanation opens with the fact; the myth appears only in the question. Then come context, numbers and an honest note on how strong the evidence is.

  4. 04

    A source for every card

WHO, CDC, NHS, Cochrane reviews, meta-analyses and single studies. Observational studies show a link, not a cause — and the cards say so.

  5. 05

    Game progress only

The game asks nothing about your health. Progress — days played, scores and today’s answers — is kept in the browser only after you press “Keep progress on this device”.

How strong the evidence is

  • Strong evidenceWHO and national health service guidance, Cochrane reviews, large meta-analyses and consensus findings
  • Moderate evidencemeta-analyses of observational data, large single studies, reviews
  • Preliminary evidencesmall experiments, first results, animal studies

For community specialists

Cards were checked against their original sources on 19 Oct 2026. Doctors, coaches and researchers of the community will be able to sign cards as reviewers and suggest new ones.

One more game: Exhale

A 1–3 minute breathing rhythm game: hold the circle as you breathe in, let go as you breathe out.
